What we anticipate next
In our first year, we anticipate a network of at least 50 businesses, with 25 active businesses contributing in an average month. This is a planning basis and does not represent current participation or approved pickup capacity.
What evidence can demonstrate
Only dated, checked records will appear as results. Enquiries, forecasts and cause preferences are not completed collections, delivered clothing or confirmed donations.
Why it matters
Better separation starts at work.
Small changes in the staff room can make eligible containers easier to identify and return. These are Victorian scheme figures, not Elite Branding results or today’s live waste totals.

The planned pilot
How participation would work.
We are preparing a business collection pilot from our Derrimut, Melbourne base. The proposed model is a labelled workplace bin and monthly collection of eligible drink containers. The service area, capacity, launch timing and operating arrangements are not yet confirmed.

A practical sorting guide
Eligible drink containers. Not every bottle qualifies.
CDS Vic generally includes approved aluminium, glass, plastic and liquid paperboard drink containers between 150 mL and 3 L. Check the product or barcode in the official CDS Vic eligibility search; the refund mark is a useful first check, not a substitute for confirming eligibility.
Eligible examples, after checking
- Approved water, soft drink and sports drink bottles or cans.
- Approved beer and cider containers.
- Some small juice and flavoured milk containers; exclusions apply to larger sizes.
- Empty containers with a readable label/barcode. Do not crush them; CDS Vic says lids can stay on.
Keep these out of the pilot bin
- Plain milk containers, including plant based milk substitutes.
- Glass wine and pure spirit bottles; concentrated cordial and syrup containers.
- Containers under 150 mL or over 3 L; excluded larger juice, flavoured milk, cask wine and cask water packs.
- Cups, food packaging, household plastics, liquids, rubbish and broken glass.

Processor specific rules are still unconfirmed. Before any bins are supplied, we will agree container preparation, storage, contamination limits, glass handling and rejected material arrangements with the receiving return point. Scheme eligibility does not guarantee acceptance by our planned pickup service.
Our first year ambition
50 businesses. A practical monthly start.
We anticipate at least 50 businesses in the first year network, with 25 contributing businesses per month and an average of 100 eligible containers from each active business. A full 12 month scenario gives 30,000 containers. This is an estimate, not a record of collections.
Formula: active businesses × containers per active business per month × active months. The anticipated network is context, not another multiplier. Calculator ranges are not approved service capacity.

We intend to reconcile dated collection logs with return receipts before publishing monthly updates. Rejected containers will not be counted as accepted. Public updates will avoid contact details; participant recognition will require permission.
Before collections begin
Where the money goes.
Refund allocation and collection costs have not been decided. Before anyone agrees to participate, we will publish who receives the refunds, any collection or bin charges, any operating cost deductions and whether a community contribution is intended.

Collection charges, bin arrangements and any deductions remain unconfirmed. Registration is not acceptance of a paid service.
Community contribution
You can choose a cause preference below. Container refund allocations, recipients and percentages still require agreement. Only evidenced transfers would appear as results.
CDS Vic currently provides a 10 cent refund per accepted eligible container (CDS Vic; Victoria, scheme rule checked 17 September 2026; unit: AUD cents/container). That is the scheme refund and does not guarantee a net return to participants.
Choose your cause
A choice to support. A clear destination.
You can express a preference for one of three causes when registering. Refund allocation, charges and deductions still need written agreement before collection. A preference does not commit funds or establish a charity partnership.
Reduce Waste Charity
Support waste reduction education or practical reuse through a suitable charity. The recipient and payment route are not yet confirmed; you can record your preference without making a payment.

Verified participants could opt into recognition and shareable summaries once returns are recorded. Recognition is not environmental certification.
Participation will not require purchasing clothing. Buying from Elite Branding does not automatically fund the pilot. Transport, contamination, rejected materials and disposal will need to be managed alongside any potential benefits.

Where would collections be available?
The pilot service area is not confirmed. We are based in Derrimut, Melbourne; register your suburb/postcode so we can assess a practical route. Our Australia wide clothing supply does not mean Australia wide bottle collection.
Will collection be monthly?
Monthly pickup is the proposed model, subject to confirmed launch, capacity, volume and site access. Frequency and availability will be agreed before participation.
Can we put all bottles and plastics in the bin?
No. Only confirmed eligible drink containers that meet the receiving return point’s preparation rules would be collected. Other recycling should remain in your usual, appropriate waste streams.
What will it cost, and who receives refunds?
Charges, operating cost deductions, refund recipients and any community allocation are undecided. Written details will be published before collections begin. No charity donation promise has been made.
Do we need to buy uniforms to participate?
No. Interest registration and proposed participation are separate from clothing purchases. Optional marketing consent is also separate.
